£21,000 - £25,000
Our client is an International Freight Forwarder, specialising predominantly in deep-sea markets, within the Far East, USA as their main areas. Forming partnerships to freight manage their client's global business leaving the client free to concentrate on its own core business. Their management team is totally focused on achieving higher levels of service both internally and externally.
They now have an excellent opportunity for an Air Freight Operator to join the team at their Solihull branch in Birmingham.

Your role will involve developing and building relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients. Ensuring Freight is moved (import and export) to customer specifications, on time with all the necessary customs and legal documentation and a record is kept of all daily events and interactive reports.
You will build strong working relationships with suppliers, airlines & overseas partners/agents.

Arrange collections and deliveries making sure all freight is invoiced and checked prior to dispatch.
Create and maintain customer standard operating procedures as well as keeping accurate and timely reporting to department managers

To apply for this role you will have experience working within an Air freight operations role from a freight forwarding perspective. You will have great communication skills with the ability to communicate with operations colleagues, overseas agents and clients in a clear precise and effective manner, via telephone, email and interactive reports.
