Finance Administrator

Our client is a well-established and very successful freight forwarder offering a global freight service. Operating from a strong financial base and with direct access to the vast resources of a large and successful group specialising in international logistics and distribution we are now looking for a Finance Administrator to join the team at their offices in Dover

A varied and fulfilling role managing the finance and administration processes of a growing freight forwarding company. The successful candidate will be utilising knowledge and acquired skills to organise sales and purchase ledger, banking, credit control and status enquiries. Also required are a range of detailed office administration functions to support a busy operations team.

A key role in the business that requires communications at all levels and therefore you expected to lead by example, but you do not have direct people responsibility.

Your role will include:

Weekly production of sales invoices to customers with associated accounting reports.
Weekly management of supplier purchase invoices including resolving queries and batching invoices for payment.
Daily banking duties.
New customer credit references and status enquiries together with existing customer credit renewals.
Daily management by telephone and email of finance queries from customers and suppliers in conjunction with company Director.
Preparing Certificates of Insurance and managing monthly insurance declarations.
Daily management of all functions of a busy office finance function in conjunction with the company Director.

In order to apply you will have:

A knowledge of general purchase ledger and sales ledger management procedures.
Excellent organisational skills to manage all tasks on time and keep accurate records.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required with customers, suppliers, and at all levels of the business internally.
The ability to prioritize, organise & manage time efficiently is essential within a busy team.
Attention to detail is critical for the production of invoices, reports and other documents
Good standard of written and spoken English & Maths is essential for this role. A proven track record in financial procedures is a distinct advantage

You will have an outgoing, lively, engaging and knowledgeable personality to manage relationships with customers and suppliers.
A good communicator and team player to work within a small office team that is vibrant and successful.

Benefits:0900-1700 Mon - Fri; Salary 19000 - 22500 dependent on experience, plus contributory pension
