Sea Freight Imports Clerk

Our Client is a Global Freight Forwarding company that offers logistics solutions in Sea and Air Freight and project logistics.

Due to expansion an exciting opportunity has now become available for an experienced Sea Freight Import Clerk to join their busy, successful team in their Birmingham office in Solihull.
Your responsibilities will involve effectively managing all procedures involved with sea freight imports. If you are competent with operation systems EDI this experience would be ideal, but not essential, any sea freight exports experience will be advantageous.

You will take bookings, handle quotations, import entries and clearances, negotiating with shipping lines giving excellent customer service at all times.

In order to apply for this role you will have a high level of sea freight imports gained from working for a freight forwarder. You will have excellent knowledge and understanding of sea freight import procedures.

Job Type:Permanent
Location:- Midlands West, Birmingham
Benefits:£25,000 salary, Monday-Friday 37.5 hours pw, starting holiday 20 days pa plus bank holidays, company pension scheme 7.5%, bonus scheme (not guaranteed), perkbox, workplace bursery provision
