Sea Freight Forwarding Clerk

Our client is now looking for a Sea Freight Forwarding Customer Service Clerk based at their busy Office in Avonmouth, Bristol. Based in a busy Sea Freight department you will either get involved with sea freight exports or sea freight imports dependent upon your background.

If placed in Sea Freight Imports you will assist and advise customers of arrivals, taking bookings, processing clearances and deliveries to customers. Dealing with potential new customers and preparing files ready for entry and providing details to enable the job to be completed.

For Sea freight exports your role will involve taking bookings from customers, booking worldwide shipments with the shipping lines or consolidators, raising all relevant documentation, billing out, invoicing and closing off the file

To apply for this role we are ideally looking for sea freight experience gained from a freight forwarder or shipping line we would also consider air freight or trailer freight to cross train and also manufacturing candidates.
You must have strong customer service and IT skills

Benefits:£21,000-25,000 basic salary, healthcare after qualifying period, pension up to 5% after qualifying period, life insurance, 23 days holiday to start
