Internal Sales Support Executive - Freight

Our Client provides complete Supply Chain Solutions, specialising in transportation, logistics, freight forwarding and warehousing. They lead the industry with their innovative and customizable solutions. They are now looking to recruit an Office based Internal Sales Support Executive to join their busy team in Birchwood in Warrington.

The office in Birchwood is a small set up with 6 current team members. Priding ourselveson being amongst the best in the freight forwarding business from a customer service perspective. Opening in 2013 in Warrington my client has grown year on year, with a turnover of 6.5m in the last 12 months.

Your role will involve...

Prospecting via phone, email.
Potentially sending out Promo items and doing follow ups.
Accept and acknowledge quotation requests
Work with the ops team Issuing freight quotes, and follow up via the phone to see if we are successful.
Develop relationships with clients and suppliers.
Attending customer visits. With regional director
Maintain Win / Loss report for submission to Group sales director.
Working alongside our operations team to ensure customers needs are catered for.
Attend internal meetings with representatives from other UK offices (Share Ideas etc.)
Build / maintain a portfolio of clients.

They could be:

An inside sales person already working within the freight business and looking for a new challenge.
A person with a sales background in logistics but looking for a change in hours/reduced hours to fit around childcare or location
A young operational freight person who is looking to break into sales.
An experienced person with a nice black book, but looking to take a step back from doing 40,000 miles a year.
We have an open mind as long as they can create revenue and gel with our existing team.

Applying candidates may have existing client relationships that we can explore, but leads will be provided. My client will focus on what you can bring in terms of generating new business or opening new doors and not dictate what the sales approach will be, but will collaborate and work to your strengths.

My client is flexible on salary and hours, as long as you are the right person but you must have industry experience gained in freight forwarding to apply

£20-28k plus incentive scheme, company pension & healthcare (after one years service)
