BDM - European Freight

Our client is a UK & European Road Haulage Specialists. With their head office situated in the North of the UK our transport experts can offer UK national and pan-European coverage, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We are now recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join the exciting and growing European arm of the business. The company has experienced year on year growth rates for the last five years and is now looking to recruit an EXPERIENCED freight Sales professional to join a fast growing, entrepreneurial company

The successful candidate MUST have strong knowledge of EUROPEAN TRANSPORT, and be confident to present solutions to key decision makers.
Your role will involve selling and promoting a full European service both imports and exports, full and part loads, and groupage services.

The role will suit a client focused minded individual with excellent communication skills, and who wants to focus on the COMMERCIAL aspects of developing our EUROPEAN AND INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT SERVICES. Experienced in the EUROPEAN FULL LOAD arena


You can demonstrate a proven track record for winning key accounts
Be responsible for account managing your customer relationships and develop and maintain your own portfolio, supported internally by a strong customer-focused operations team
At ease with negotiating and presenting transport solutions to key decision makers
Understand the necessity to maintain a strong commercial pipeline using our CRM tool
You will have strong operational knowledge of International road transport between the UK and Germany, Poland, France, Holland and Southern and CEE countries
You will possess strong relationship building skills and be able to present solutions to key decision makers
Competent with Microsoft Office products
It is imperative that you are a team player
European travel to engage with clients is expected.
All applicants should be in possession of a full drivers licence, and please note you must be permitted to work in the EC to apply for this job.
