Transport Clerk - Nights

A new opportunity has arisen as a TRANSPORT CLERK to work for one of the UK's largest independent distributor of Mail and Parcel companies.

SALARY : £20,0000 - £23,000

Main Purpose of Job:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that all transport related activities are completed as per the requirements of our transport operation.

To assist the Senior Transport Supervisor / Transport Supervisors in the day to day running of the transport operation

Main Responsibilities:

Ensuring that all transport related tasks are complete including all
administration, customer contact, dealing with driver related issues & problem

Assisting in the compilation of weekly transport statistics & reports

Handling day to day queries from drivers, customers and other internal

Assisting the Supervisors in taking all drivers phone queries, and dealing with all
calls as appropriate

Monitoring of Isotrak during shift and reporting issues that may arise

Routinely check Driving Licences for Points ensuring they do not exceed the amount set by the company.

Maintain the Vehicle Defect System and escalate defects to the management team/Administrator.

To apply for the role you must have worked within a TRANSPORT / TRAFFIC office operation, have good IT skills, strong customer foucus background and ideally from an EXPRESS PARCELS / PALLET / LOGISTICS / FMCG background but other forms of transport related industries will be considered.

upto £23k basic salary
10% Bonus
