Our client is an International Global Freight Forwarder, specialising within the Far East, USA as their main areas. Forming partnerships to freight manage their client's global business leaving the client free to concentrate on its own core business. Their management team is totally focused on achieving higher levels of service both internally and externally.
Now due to expansion we are now recruiting for a Transport Planner to join the team in their Felixstowe location
Your role will include
Transport Planning
Haulage allocation and day to day management as required
Being the focal point, for internal and external customers
Complete all requirements and or offer alternative options to complete.
Ensure all Haulage requirements are met by approved suppliers.
Balance Cost and Service requirements at all times Haulage Product
Key Accounts, sustain and develop key flow requirements and provide support to the Multimodal transport manager.
Supplier KPI monitoring, complete and assist management
Develop relationships with all suppliers and focal points at Shipping Lines.
Transport system development and assistance enhancing house systems to support.
In order to apply you will have:
FCL / LCL container movements
Intermodal and multiple ports operations
Been responsible for container releases
Scheduled containers from Southampton
Created schedules for transport
Been responsible for booking haulage receive and deliver
Package and Benefits:
Salary £28,000 to £34,000 dependent upon experience
